Evidence-based Nutrition Counseling

Are you tired of counting calories or feeling consumed to make the “right” food choices? Do you want to be done using food to cope with your emotions? Are you sick of beating yourself up over the food choices you make? Are you ready to get off the roller coaster of dieting? Then it’s time to Eat what you love & love what you eat!

When you work with me, you will be shown love and acceptance. Wherever you are on your journey with food, I will meet you there. I will guide you toward healthier eating while keeping your mental wellbeing in focus.

My approach to nutrition counseling is above all, evidence-based. There is so much unreliable nutrition information out there, and it is important to me that the information I provide be grounded in science. I bring a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach to listening to your story. If you are exhausted from dieting. If you are sick of feeling guilty for eating the food you love. If you catapult into self-destructive food choices after one ‘slip-up.’ If you spend too much mental energy stressing about food. If you want to be healthier without having to sacrifice your mental wellbeing. Then I am here for you!

Food is complicated. It is intertwined with our feelings and moods. It’s part of how we celebrate life, how we show love and compassion for others, how we socialize and meet new people. Our food choices are impacted by our environment, our friends and family, our culture, and our past.

We will explore the factors impacting your personal food choices, as we use principles of mindful eating, body acceptance, and gentle nutrition to make food more enjoyable and accessible for you.

I offer in person and video/voice call nutrition services. You will receive customized and culturally sensitive care with the guidance of a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to create the right treatment plan for you. I will help guide you along in your journey and together find meaningful and sustainable changes to eating patterns and behaviors.
